Role OverviewThe Systems Administrator - Future Operations will support the operation, maintenance, and modernization of infrastructure within a LAB/FUOPs environment. The primary focus of this position is administering VMware virtualization technologies.
What You Will Do
Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain VMware ESXi 7 and 8 hosts, vSphere/vCenter 8, clusters, and virtual machines. Troubleshoot complex issues involving virtual machines, hypervisors, virtual networking, storage connectivity, physical servers, and supporting infrastructure.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of virtualization principles beyond a specific vendor or product. Foundational knowledge of containerization and other infrastructure platforms is important so the administrator can support future technology transitions and platform modernization efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in computer science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering
- 0 years of experience with BS/BA
- 2 years of experience with AA/AS
- 4 years of experience with no degree
- DoW 8140 Compliance – CompTIA Security+ or Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Systems Security Certified Practitioner
- Active Secret US security clearance
