Role OverviewThe Systems Administrator - Virtualization role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the virtual infrastructure that supports the mission-critical operations of the GCC. The role involves administering, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining the virtual operating environment and its related software.
What You Will Do
Design and implement integrated infrastructure solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide technical support for system users. Monitor and optimize virtual infrastructure performance, resource utilization, and system availability.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This position requires a strong understanding of virtualization technologies, including VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines. The ideal candidate will have experience in administering and maintaining software infrastructures and applications, and will be able to obtain VMware Cloud Foundations 9.0 Architect certification.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering
- 0 years of experience with BS/BA, 2 years of experience with AA/AS, 4 years of experience with no degree
- Experience in the administration and maintenance of software infrastructures and applications
- DoW 8140 Compliance – CompTIA Security+ or Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Systems Security Certified Practitioner and ability to obtain DISA ACAS Operator training in 90 days
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
