Role OverviewWe are seeking a Systems Administrator II to join our team at Buckley Space Force Station. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting complex IT systems, ensuring their security, availability, and performance in line with mission requirements.
What You Will Do
Administer, monitor, and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Active Secret Clearance (interim acceptable). Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or other IAT-Level II Certification or higher.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (equivalent experience may be substituted)
- 2-6 years of experience in systems administration or a similar role
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Experience with network infrastructure and configuration (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Knowledge of DoD security practices and compliance (e.g., DISA STIGs, RMF)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or other IAT-Level II Certification or higher
