Role OverviewThe Advanced Sensor Systems and Test Beds Group (Group 33) is seeking a Systems Administrator to support group and experimental environments. The candidate will be responsible for computer system configurations and upgrades, identifying system performance issues, and recommending changes and upgrades. The role requires strong Windows and LINUX proficiency, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
What You Will Do
The Systems Administrator will support group and experimental environments, including computer system configurations and upgrades, identifying system performance issues, and recommending changes and upgrades. Additional duties include exploring and recommending commercial hardware and software products, ordering hardware and software products, and renewing software licenses.

Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline, or equivalent related experience
- 4+ Years IT and Windows (Workstation, Server) Administration
- Experience and knowledge required to manage, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems
- Windows System Administration; active directory tools, system builds
- LINUX proficiency
- Network Storage
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS and LDAP
- IT Security - vulnerability remediation, network design, logging
- Knowledge of computer hardware (including peripheral equipment), software packages and communication and network technology
