Systems Engineer I (Onsite)

Collins Aerospace is seeking a qualified candidate for an entry-level Systems Engineer to join our development team for Flight Management Application content for Fixed Wing aircraft within our Military Avionics & Helicopters Flight Management Applications department. The engineer will initially work primarily on our E-2D platform. The role involves developing requirements and tests for fixed-wing platforms, designing and verifying updates to the Flight Management software, and communicating plans and status to the agile team.

What You Will Do

Develop requirements and tests for fixed-wing platforms, design and verify updates to the Flight Management software, communicate plans and status to the agile team, coordinate with the platform engineering team and other software domain team to identify and track dependencies for shared features, champion knowledge sharing and elevate department expertise through formal training and informal mentoring.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Familiarity with Python scripting
• Experience working with DOORS or Jama
• Familiarity with a Scaled Agile environment and Jira tracking
• Strong foundation in communication skills and team collaboration
