Job Description
MGT is a leading provider of technology and advisory solutions serving state, local, and education government agencies (SLED) across the United States. The Systems Engineer II- Safety Security is responsible for the implementation and technical execution of assigned physical security projects, including video surveillance, access control, and alarm technologies for both prospective and existing customers.

Requirements

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the physical security / security systems industry
  • Hands-on experience configuring and testing physical security systems, including IP cameras, access control, intercoms, and related technologies
  • Experience performing physical security system integration testing
  • Hands-on expertise with OME security platforms, including Verkada and Avigilon
  • Experience developing technical documentation and custom reports using Excel, Google Sheets, and similar tools
  • Strong foundation in Layer 1–Layer 3 networking concepts
  • Experience working across diverse industry verticals, including K–12 education, Healthcare, Corporate and commercial environments, Government facilities, Retail environments, Manufacturing facilities, Financial institutions
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms or technologies is preferred but not required: Video Management Systems (VMS), Access Control Systems, Intrusion detection and alarm systems, Network infrastructure and information systems architecture, Storage systems, IP camera installation and configuration, Database management and reporting, System integrations and APIs, Industry compliance knowledge (FERPA, HIPAA, SOX, etc.>
