Role OverviewThe Research Engineer, under general direction, is responsible for conducting and supporting basic and applied research on communications systems and networks. This role utilizes knowledge of existing networks to design, implement, and test creative and innovative solutions to new and emerging challenges in next generation wireless networks.
What You Will Do
Supports research initiatives within the field of communications systems and networking, performs as subject matter expert on research projects, supports evaluation and analysis of technical approaches to research opportunities, and produces network designs, reports, and other research products.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, computer science, or a related field
- Six years of related experience in communications systems and networks
- US Passport
- Ability to drive/travel to other parts of campus, other campuses, and other agencies in the state
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
