Job Description
Leidos is seeking a System Support Specialist to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the NASA Mission Network known as NASCOM. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of TCP/IP technology, IP addressing, and subnet masking, as well as hands-on experience with standard industry products such as Cisco, Juniper, and Ciena. The position requires the ability to pass a written and practical certification test within 180 days of hire.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP technology
  • Knowledge of IP Addressing and subnet masking
  • Excellent writing and oral communications skills
  • Hands-on experience with standard industry products e.g. Cisco, Juniper, and Ciena
  • Effective communicator and able to coordinate network and customer issues with other technical sections
  • Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to real-time dataflow issues
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours/shifts
  • Pleasant personality
  • Knowledge of Network Monitoring tools, e.g. NNMi, Specturm, MRTG, CACTI
  • Experience in supporting Wide Area Networking connectivity
  • US Citizenship is required and able to obtain at minimum Public Trust clearance
