Qualifications:
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Must be endorsed in Theater.
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Experience working with diverse student population
- Successful teaching experience and curricular knowledge.
- Experience implementing best practices in Theater Instruction.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and community members
- Prepare theater students for in school and outside performance opportunities
- Flexible, dependable, and highly organized
- Desire to work with diverse community of learners
- Work effectively with fine arts team.
- Must be organized with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge in technical theater helpful
- Stay current with arts related technology and best practices
- Must use best practices in maintaining theater practice and performance spaces
