Target Security Specialist

As a Target Security Specialist, you will be responsible for creating a safe and secure environment for guests and team members. You will use intelligence-led tactics to prevent and respond to security incidents, and work to build relationships with store leaders and public safety officials. You will also be responsible for documenting cases and using Target's video surveillance system.

What You Will Do

A typical day as a Target Security Specialist will include greeting guests, helping them find what they need, resolving issues, and promoting a physical security culture. You will also respond to security incidents, accurately document them, and use de-escalation tactics to resolve conflicts. You will work independently and with a team to manage workload and prioritize tasks.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Effective communication skills
• Work both independently and with a team
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
