Job Description
The Department of Revenue is seeking a Tax Auditor I to conduct field audits of businesses in the Metro Region, verify compliance with tax statutes, and initiate changes as necessary.

Requirements

  • Conduct field audits of businesses
  • Verify compliance with sales/use tax statutes, room occupancy tax statutes, meals tax statutes, and the withholding tax statute
  • Properly document all proposed changes
  • Confer with taxpayers and/or their legal representatives
  • Meet minimum entrance requirements
