Job Description
The Vermont Department of Taxes is seeking a Tax Auditor II to join its Compliance Division. The successful candidate will conduct audits to ensure fair and accurate administration of Vermont's tax laws, and will be part of a supportive, mission-driven team.

Requirements

  • Reviewing and analyzing taxpayer returns
  • Preparing assessments and adjustments to support accurate compliance
  • Communicating with taxpayers and their representatives
  • Participating in appeals and settlement discussions
  • Conducting on-site audits when appropriate
