Role OverviewThis is a Tax Auditor III position in the General Tax Administration Program's Audit Process. The incumbent independently performs audits of taxpayers and businesses in a variety of industries to determine tax compliance as it relates to Florida statutes. Additional responsibilities include examining and analyzing accounting systems of taxpayers, computing tax assessments or refund adjustments, preparing detailed reports of audit results, and independently conducting conferences with taxpayers and/or taxpayers' representatives.

Preference will be given to candidates with an accounting degree. This position requires the use of your personal vehicle to conduct work assignments and may require travel which may include multiple overnight stays.
Requirements
- Four years of accounting or auditing experience at a paraprofessional level
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with a minimum of three accounting courses, or two accounting courses and one tax course
