Role OverviewThe Ohio Department of Taxation is seeking up to two (2) Tax Examiners in the Audit Division. The Audit Division's mission is to ensure compliance with Ohio business taxes while educating taxpayers on their tax responsibilities and Ohio Statutes.
What You Will Do
Recommends appropriate audit methodologies/techniques; confers with taxpayers &/or their representatives regarding audits (e.g., office &/or field) findings, inquiries, procedural questions, interpretation of applicable laws, rules, regulations, & other information.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have 12 mos. exp. in accounting &/or auditing &/or taxation, Bachelor’s degree or higher degree per Section 5703.17 (B) O.R.C. in accounting, business, business administration, economics, finance, public administration, management or other business related field
Requirements
- 12 mos. exp. in accounting &/or auditing &/or taxation
- Bachelor’s degree or higher degree per Section 5703.17 (B) O.R.C. in accounting, business, business administration, economics, finance, public administration, management or other business related field
- 15 semester/20 quarter credit hours of accounting courses
