Job Description
The Ohio Department of Taxation is seeking to fill up to two (2) Tax Examiner Specialist positions in the Bankruptcy Division. This position is for current Taxation employees. As a Tax Examiner Specialist, you will review OH TAX claims, assist with research and proof of claims, lead training, and testify in Bankruptcy court.

Requirements

  • Review OH TAX claims as needed for Examiners
  • Assist with reviewing Examiner research and proof of claims for errors
  • Lead necessary training as needed
  • Create and update job aid materials as needed
  • Review various Offer in Compromise cases from Attorney General’s Office
  • Testify in Bankruptcy court as needed
  • Liaison for the Appeals Division on complex accounts
  • Assist with system and taxability questions on escalated cases
