Role Overview

The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and planning for ON.energy and all its related entities. This role leads the tax function end-to-end and directly supervises the Tax Analyst.

What You Will Do

Manage all federal, state, and local tax compliance obligations, lead §48E ITC workstreams, develop federal income tax projections, and supervise the Tax Analyst.

This role requires 5+ years of tax experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and certification as a CPA or Enrolled Agent. The Tax Manager will work closely with the Tax Director, CFO, and Finance team to ensure the company remains fully compliant while optimizing tax positions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of tax experience
  • Minimum 1 year in a manager or senior role
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Certification CPA or Enrolled Agent
  • Direct experience with §48, §48E, §6418, PWA, and/or Domestic Content rules
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-state compliance
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced)
  • Experience with tax compliance software and ERP systems
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring junior tax staff
