Job Description
Join TCEQ as a Health Physicist I or II and contribute to the regulation of waste and cleanup of contaminated sites. As part of the Radioactive Materials Licensing Unit, you will evaluate complex license applications, conduct field assessments, and provide information to customers.

Requirements

  • Experience with licensing of radioactive materials source recovery
  • Experience with licensing of radioactive materials low-level radioactive waste disposal
  • Bachelor's degree in health physics, physical science, or related field
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in health physics, physical science, or related field
  • Current certification by the American Board of Health Physics as a Certified Health Physicist
