Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in outdoor power equipment. The role includes diagnosing mechanical problems, performing routine services, and providing support to customers in person or through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnosticating mechanical problems in small engine equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning
  • Repairing or replacing faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Providing clear explanations to customers about necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Documenting the service work performed and ensuring that accurate records are maintained for each job
  • Ensuring that all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety protocols
  • Staying up-to-date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines
