Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in power equipment for outdoors. This position includes diagnosing mechanical problems, performing routine services and providing support to customers both in person and through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in equipment with small engines
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacement, spark plug inspection and carburetor cleaning
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as belts, spark plugs and fuel systems
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document the work performed and ensure that accurate records are maintained for each job
  • Ensure that all equipment meets the manufacturer's specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols
  • Stay up to date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines
