Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment, such as lawn mowers, chain saws, and snow blowers.

Requirements

  • Diagnosing mechanical problems in equipment with small engines
  • Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleanings
  • Repairing or replacing defective components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Providing clear explanations to customers about necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Documenting service work and ensuring accurate records for each job
  • Ensuring that all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety protocols
  • Staying up-to-date on new technologies and engine repair methods
