Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in power equipment for outdoor use, such as lawn mowers, chain saws, and snow blowers. This position includes diagnosing mechanical problems, performing routine services, and providing support to customers both in person and through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnostic mechanical problems in equipment with small engines
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleanings
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document service work performed and ensure accurate records are kept for each job
  • Ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for small engine repair
