Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment, providing support to customers both in-person and through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnostic problems in mechanical equipment with small engines
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacement, spark plug inspection, and carburetor cleaning
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide clear explanations to customers on necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document service work performed and ensure that accurate records are kept for each job
  • Ensure that all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines
