Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment, such as lawn mowers, chain saws, and snow blowers. The position includes diagnosing mechanical problems, performing routine services, and providing support to customers both in person and through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnosticating mechanical problems in equipment with small engines
  • Performing routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacement, spark plug inspection, and carburetor cleaning
  • Repairing or replacing faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Providing clear explanations to customers about necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Documenting service work performed and ensuring that accurate records are maintained for each job
  • Ensuring that all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and functions optimally
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
