Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment. The technician advises customers on necessary repairs or maintenance, ensures that equipment operates in accordance with manufacturer specifications, and maintains detailed documentation of the service.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in equipment with small engines
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Explain repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers
  • Document service work performed and ensure accurate records for each job
  • Ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Stay updated on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines
