Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment, such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, and snow blowers.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in equipment with small engines (e.g., lawn mowers, chainsaws, snow blowers).
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning.
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems.
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of the necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations.
  • Document the work performed and ensure that accurate records are kept for each job.
  • Ensure that all equipment meets the manufacturer's specifications and operates optimally.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines.
