Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in power equipment for outdoor use. This position includes diagnosing mechanical problems, performing routine services and providing support to customers both in-person and through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in small engine equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleanings
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Explain repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers clearly
  • Document service work performed and ensure accurate records are kept for each job
  • Ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for small engine repair
