Job Description

The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment.

Requirements

Diagnose mechanical problems in small engine equipment
Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections and carburetor cleaning
Repair or replace defective components, such as belts, spark plugs and fuel systems
Provide clear explanations to customers on the necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
Document the service work performed and ensure that accurate records are maintained for each job
Ensure that all equipment meets the manufacturer's specifications and operates optimally
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety protocols
Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines
