Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in outdoor power equipment such as lawn mowers, chain saws, and snow blowers.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in equipment with small engines (e.g. lawn mowers, chain saws, snow blowers)
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document service work performed and ensure accurate records for each job
  • Ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and functions optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and methods for small engine repair
