Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment. The technician advises customers on the necessary repairs or maintenance, ensures that the equipment operates according to the manufacturer's specifications, and maintains a detailed record of the service.

Requirements

  • Diagnostic mechanical problems in small engine equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, chain saws, snow blowers).
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning.
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems.
  • Explain repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Document service work performed and ensure that accurate records are maintained for each job.
  • Ensure that all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for small engine repair.
