Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in outdoor power equipment such as lawn mowers, chain saws, and snow blowers. This role includes diagnosing mechanical problems, performing routine services, and providing support to customers both in person and through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in small engine equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleanings
  • Repair or replace defective components such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide clear explanations to customers about necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document service work performed and ensure that accurate records are maintained for each job
  • Ensure that all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment that complies with safety protocols
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines
