Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment, such as lawn mowers, chain saws, and snow blowers. This position includes diagnosing mechanical problems, performing routine services, and providing support to customers both in person and remotely.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in small engine equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, chain saws, snow blowers).
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleanings.
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems.
  • Provide clear explanations to customers on necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations.
  • Document service work performed and ensure accurate records for each job.
  • Ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and small engine repair methods.
