Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in outdoor power equipment, advising customers on necessary repairs or maintenance, and documenting service work performed.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in small engine equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document service work performed and ensure accurate records for each job
  • Ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and functions optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines
