Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in power equipment for outdoor use, such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, and snow blowers.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in small engine equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleanings
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide clear explanations to customers regarding necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document the service work performed and ensure that accurate records are maintained for each job
  • Ensure that all equipment complies with manufacturer specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and methods of small engine repair
