Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment, such as lawn mowers, chain saws, and snow blowers, and provides support to customers both in person and through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in equipment with small engines
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Explain repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers in a clear manner
  • Document the work performed and ensure that accurate records are kept for each job
  • Ensure that all equipment meets the manufacturer's specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines
