Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in outdoor power equipment, and providing support to customers in person and through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in equipment with small engines
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document the service work performed and ensure that accurate records are maintained for each job
  • Ensure that all equipment meets the manufacturer's specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and small engine repair methods
