Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment, providing support to customers in person and remotely, and maintaining detailed documentation of service.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in small engine-powered equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleanings
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations
  • Document service work performed and ensure that accurate records are kept for each job
  • Ensure that all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and small engine repair methods
