Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment. The technician advises customers on necessary repairs or maintenance and maintains detailed documentation of the service.

Requirements

  • Diagnostic mechanical problems in small engine equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, chain saws, snow blowers).
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems.
  • Provide clear explanations to customers about necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations.
  • Document the service work performed and ensure that accurate records are maintained for each job.
  • Ensure that all equipment meets the manufacturer's specifications and operates optimally.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines.
