Job Description
The Small Engine Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of small engines used in outdoor power equipment, such as lawn mowers, chain saws, and snow blowers. This position includes diagnosing mechanical problems, performing routine services, and providing support to customers both in person and through remote or virtual consultations.

Requirements

  • Diagnose mechanical problems in small engine-equipped equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, chain saws, snow blowers).
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug inspections, and carburetor cleaning.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as belts, spark plugs, and fuel systems.
  • Provide customers with clear explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations.
  • Document the work performed and ensure that accurate records are maintained for each job.
  • Ensure that all equipment meets manufacturer specifications and operates optimally.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and methods for repairing small engines.
