Role OverviewThis position is a field assignment based in Albuquerque, NM, with varying locations depending on the job and/or client. The T&D Commissioning Manager will oversee commissioning activities for substation projects, ensuring compliance with engineering and operational standards. The role requires experience in commissioning, protection and controls, and high-voltage equipment.
What You Will Do
The T&D Commissioning Manager will provide engineering oversight, manage system testing, verification, and energization, work closely with construction, engineering, and operations teams, and ensure adherence to safety protocols, project schedules, and utility standards.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 15 or more years of experience in construction & commissioning at high voltage substations, familiarity with microprocessor protection relays, and proficiency with MS Office applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 15 or more years of experience in construction & commissioning at high voltage substations
- Familiarity with microprocessor protection relays used in electric utility substations
- Ability to read and understand AC and DC Schematic Diagrams and Wiring Diagrams for electric utility substations
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
