Job Description
The Chemist position will perform routine to complex professional chemical work in the pesticide residue laboratory of the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), including research and methodology development, to contribute to the analysis of pesticide residues for monitoring and to aid in the agency's prosecution of pesticide law violations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or a related field
  • One year of work experience related to the essential duties may substitute for one year of college
  • Work experience as a chemist performing the physical testing and chemical analysis of materials and products
  • Experience conducting special research projects and preparing appropriate technical reports on pesticide residues or other analytes
