Job Description
The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) is hiring a Data Analyst III to perform moderately complex data analysis and data research for the Financial Regulation Division. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and/or reporting work, and a strong understanding of data visualization tools and SQL.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data science, business analytics, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field
  • 2 years' experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and/or reporting work
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Experience using SQL (Structured Query Language) for data querying and analysis
  • State laws, rules, procedures, and regulations relevant to job requirements
  • Business terminology, spelling, grammar, arithmetic, personal computers
  • Office practices and procedures
