Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a Teacher 1 for the Horticulture career-tech program. The successful candidate will provide instruction in turf management, business management, and individual assistance to inmates, and assess their educational needs. The job requires a Teacher Certificate/License and a baccalaureate degree or less.

Requirements

  • Provides instruction in turf management, business management, and individual assistance
  • Assesses educational needs of inmates
  • Develops lesson plans and administers examinations
  • Maintains discipline and/or security
  • Counsels students and prepares records and reports
  • Inventories and orders supplies and materials
  • Researches and recommends new teaching materials
