Job Description
The position of Teacher (8th Math w/ Algebra) at Cesar Chavez Multicultural Academy requires a bilingual education teacher to provide instruction, support, and guidance to students in developing their language abilities and overcoming barriers to equal participation in the district's instructional programs.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of all student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain the appropriate teaching license(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
  • Possession of an Illinois State Board of Education issued educator license with a bilingual endorsement in the grade level being taught
  • Knowledge of subject matter consistent with state certification requirements, contemporary principles and practices of teaching, and classroom and behavior management techniques
  • Ability to modify instruction to meet student needs, cooperate with the school faculty and administration, and work effectively with students, parents, and guardians, staff members, and community representatives
