Role OverviewThe Teacher is responsible for the instruction, progress, and discipline of all pupils in assigned classes. They will plan and implement instructional methods, evaluate pupil progress, and maintain accurate records. The Teacher will also establish and maintain reasonable rules of conduct within the classroom and on school grounds.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Teacher include providing written lesson plans, preparing instructional materials, and evaluating pupil progress. They will also participate in programs to improve student attendance, promote anti-vandalism programs, and communicate with parents and guardians.

Requirements
- Successful completion of all student teaching requirements
- Appropriate teaching certificate(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
- Valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS))
- Knowledge of subject matter consistent with state certification requirements
- Knowledge of contemporary principles and practices of teaching
- Knowledge of classroom and behavior management techniques
