Role OverviewThe Teacher Assistant will provide children (ages 2-3 years old) with an environment that includes varied activities to help children develop socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development, with the overall goal being to achieve social competence for the child.
What You Will Do
Specific duties include providing children with an environment that includes varied activities, implementing the program curriculum, conducting classroom planning, integrating various HS services into the learning, observing, screening and assessing children’s developmental levels, and providing a planned program of activities.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, and have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and 24 CD units in ECE/CD, including 6 units of infant/toddler for EHS.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications
- Proof at the time of hire
- TB clearance within 6 months’ prior
- Annual Influenza vaccination (between Nov. 1st - Mar. 31st)
- Pertussis (whooping cough) and measles immunization
- Health screening at the time of employment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently kneel and squat
- Ability to move quickly
