Role OverviewSupport a lead teacher in planning and implementing a preschool classroom in compliance with Head Start, GSRP, and MDHHS licensing requirements. Work closely with program staff and community partners to fulfill the objectives of Head Start/GSRP and Community Action Agency.
What You Will Do
Support a developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive classroom environment, develop lesson plans, assess children, complete home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and family engagement events, and participate in team meetings and case conferences.

Requirements
- Child Development Associate Certificate
- One year experience working with children in a preschool classroom setting
- Training in Creative Curriculum and TS Gold
- Reliable transportation
- Competency in reading, mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of community resources, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach
- Independent judgement to complete routine tasks
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with people of all economic levels, cultures, and capabilities
- Ability to mediate and diffuse difficult situations
