Role Overview

The Teacher Assistant will work in a childcare setting, assisting the lead teacher in delivering quality programs and services for children and families. The role involves planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting the Class Teacher in maintaining records.

The main responsibilities of the Teacher Assistant include assisting in lesson planning, preparing and maintaining a safe environment, supporting the Class Teacher in maintaining records, and encouraging parent and community involvement.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be a good fit for this position, you should have experience working with children in a childcare setting, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or a related field. Bi-lingual Spanish is strongly preferred.
