Job Description
Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens seeks a Head Start Teacher to supervise the teaching team and promote the social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative development of children aged 3-5. The role involves planning and executing age and developmentally appropriate activities reflecting the Montessori curriculum.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • N.Y.S. Initial/Professional Certification
  • 1 year of teaching experience in a preschool classroom
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • Bilingual Spanish/English; Russian/English; Chinese/English; Korean/English; English/Creole speaking
