Role Overview

Provide quality instruction aligned to state and national standards. The candidate must be knowledgeable of district music standards and have the ability to maintain consistent disciplinary skills. Responsive Classroom training desired.

What You Will Do

Teach students the required curricula using strategies that foster thinking, reasoning, and problem solving. Assess students' developmental, cognitive, and social needs and provide developmentally appropriate instruction to meet those needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Education or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Valid State Teaching Certification in Instrumental Music (grades K-12 or 7-12).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in playing and teaching woodwind, brass, and string instruments.
  • Strong skills in building scaffolded units, lessons, and the use of rubrics for grading.
  • Exceptional communication, classroom management, organizational, and collaborative skills
