Role Overview

This is a full-time on-site role as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) serving a school located in Wilmington, NC. The Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) will be responsible for providing teaching and case management services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field preferred
  • English Learner Authorization (CLAD/BCLAD or included in credential)
  • Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred

  • Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities preferred
